RegGenie: How to Enter Program Exclusions (Ignore Keys)
Article

In the rare instance if RegGenie has a conflict with one of your applications, there's an easy way to add an exclusion so it ignores the program in future scans.

Note: If you ran a scan and it conflicted with RegGenie and doesn't appear to function correctly any more, first follow these instructions for undoing all of RegGenie's repairs.

Once you've verified that your program is working correctly again, proceed with the instructions below.

To add a program exclusion, follow these instructions:

  1. Start RegGenie, click on Settings --> Ignore Keys

  2. In the first text box, enter keyword -- Note: keyword represents the actual name of your program.

  3. Click 'Add to List' (verify that your keyword appears in the bottom window)

  4. Click 'Apply' to save your addition

  5. Click OK to close confirmation pop-up Window

  6. Run another scan and repair to verify that your program is working normally.
